The K Parker Difference

Why Choose K Parker Wooden Sliding Sash Windows?

Smooth Rope Pulley Operation

The smooth operation of a sliding sash window starts with the balance system. We manufacture our windows using a traditional rope pulley system that provides reliable, balanced movement every time you open or close the sash. This proven design offers smooth operation while maintaining the timeless appearance that has made sliding sash windows popular for generations.

Premium Meranti Timber

Every K Parker sliding sash window is manufactured from carefully selected Meranti hardwood. Meranti is valued for its strength, stability and attractive natural grain, making it an excellent choice for both traditional and contemporary homes. All windows are supplied factory sanded to 120 grit, ready for your preferred wood sealer, stain or paint system.

Quality Hardware Comes Standard

Premium windows deserve premium hardware. Every sliding sash window includes satin chrome lift handles, precision sash fasteners and quality weather seals that enhance both the appearance and performance of the window. These carefully selected components help the window operate smoothly while creating a secure seal when closed.

Warranty, Handling & Installation

Inspect your window on delivery to confirm it matches your order and is free from defects. Any shortages or damage should be reported in writing within 24 hours to kelly@kparkerjoinery.co.za.

Store all windows upright on a dry, level surface under cover until installation. Before fitting, treat all six sides of the timber, including both sliding sashes after removing the staff beading. We recommend avoiding very dark exterior colours, such as black, as excessive heat may damage the timber.

During installation, use fixing lugs across the hardwood frame and never drill directly through the vertical stiles. Ensure the frame is level, square and correctly waterproofed before glazing.

All glazing must comply with SANS 10400-N. Use the correct glazing tolerances and a neutral cure silicone when installing laminated glass.
