Product Guide – Aluminium Products

Please read our Product Guide below for important information regarding payments, lead times, installation, warranties, product care, and terms of supply.

Payment Terms

  • Payment strictly as per quotation.
  • No manufacture or delivery until funds reflect.
  • No cash or cheques accepted.
  • The client is solely responsible for verifying banking details.

Price Validity

  • Prices are subject to exchange rate and supplier changes.
  • Valid only once all required information is received.
  • Glass, ironmongery, and glazing are only included if stated in the quotation.

Cancellation & Refunds

  • No refunds on custom-made products.
  • Refunds only apply before production or if incorrect goods are supplied.
  • All claims must be made within 24 hours of delivery.

Lead Times

  • 15–20 working days from deposit and signed approval.
  • Lead times are subject to capacity, complexity, and material availability.
  • All instructions must be confirmed via email.
  • Final sizes must be confirmed in writing prior to manufacture.

Product Representation & Final Outcome

  • Drawings and images indicate general design intent only.
  • The final product is limited strictly to the quotation.
  • Final outcome depends on installation, site conditions, glazing, sealing, and hardware selection.
  • Unless stated, glass may not be included.
  • Unless stated, ironmongery may not be included.
  • Unless stated, installation is not included.

No assumptions shall be made based on drawings or images.

Glass Supply, Glazing & Responsibility

  • Glass is only supplied and/or fitted if stated in the quotation.
  • All glass sizes must be verified on site.
  • Where glazing is not included, full responsibility transfers to the installer/client.
  • All glazing must be carried out by a competent installer.

The performance of any glazed unit, including water tightness and air tightness, depends on correct glazing, sealing, and installation. K Parker Joinery accepts no responsibility for leaks or performance issues where glazing or installation is carried out by others.

Delivery & Storage

  • Products must be checked on delivery.
  • Issues must be reported within 24 hours.
  • Products must be stored vertically.
  • Products must be kept dry and protected from damage.

Incorrect storage will result in damage for which KPJ accepts no responsibility.

Installation

  • Only competent installers must be used.
  • KPJ accepts no responsibility for installation defects.
  • Final performance depends entirely on installation, sealing, drainage, and adjustment.

No claim relating to water ingress, air leakage, or operation will be considered where installation, sealing, or adjustment has been carried out by others.

Pre-Installation Requirements

  • Openings must be correctly prepared.
  • Levels and tolerance must be confirmed.
  • Plastering and wet trades should be substantially complete.

Incorrect or unprepared openings will result in performance issues for which KPJ accepts no responsibility.

Aluminium – Product Characteristics

  • Aluminium systems rely on correct installation.
  • Aluminium systems rely on proper sealing.
  • Aluminium systems rely on functional drainage systems.
  • Drainage slots must remain unobstructed.
  • Frames must not be sealed in a way that prevents drainage.

Blocking drainage or incorrect sealing will result in water ingress for which KPJ accepts no responsibility.

Hardware & Operation

  • Hardware must be maintained.
  • Hardware must be adjusted where required.
  • Sliding and folding systems require clean tracks.
  • Sliding and folding systems require correct alignment.

Operational issues caused by lack of maintenance or incorrect adjustment are not the responsibility of KPJ.

Protective Tape & Construction Protection

  • Protective tape and coverings are temporary only.
  • Tape must be removed within a reasonable period after installation.
  • Long-term exposure to sun, weather, plastering, or construction conditions may cause adhesive residue or staining.
  • Products must be protected from plaster, mortar, paint, grinding dust, welding sparks, and other construction contamination.

KPJ accepts no responsibility for damage, marking, residue, or operational issues caused by construction contamination or prolonged retention of protective coverings.

Warranty

  • Warranty is valid only after full payment.
  • Warranty covers material and workmanship only.
  • Warranty excludes installation.
  • Warranty excludes glazing by others.
  • Warranty excludes site-related issues.
  • Warranty excludes drainage obstruction.
  • Warranty excludes lack of maintenance.
  • Repairs or replacement are at KPJ’s sole discretion.

Special Terms

Design + Size

  • Products are manufactured strictly as per quotation.
  • All dimensions must be confirmed in writing.
