Payment

Supply Only

• 50% deposit required to place order.
• Balance payable in full prior to collection or delivery.

Supply & Installation

• 50% deposit required to place order.
• 40% payable prior to delivery to site.
• 10% payable immediately upon practical completion.

• No manufacturing or installation will commence until payments are received in full.
• Interest at 2% per month will be charged on overdue accounts.
• No cheques accepted.
• Bank charges for cash deposits will be added to the customer’s account.

Scope of Work

• All quotations are for supply only unless installation is specifically included in writing.
• Where installation is included, it is limited strictly to the agreed scope.

Measurements

• All manufacturing is strictly based on approved dimensions.
• Where KPJ has not been formally contracted to measure, all measurements are deemed supplied by the client or contractor.
• KPJ accepts no responsibility for incorrect measurements unless agreed in writing.

Opening Preparation

• All openings must be square, level, plumb, and suitable for installation.
• Openings must allow adequate tolerances for installation.
• KPJ accepts no responsibility for unsuitable openings or site conditions.

Site Conditions

• The site must be accessible, safe, and ready upon arrival.
• Additional labour or delays caused by site conditions will be charged separately.

Site Services & Access

• The client must provide adequate site access, scaffolding, lifting equipment, and power where required.
• Unless specifically included, KPJ does not provide generators, scaffolding, hoisting equipment, site protection, or storage facilities.
• Additional costs caused by missing site services will be charged separately.

Delivery, Handling & Offloading

• Delivery is drop-off only unless installation is included.
• The client must provide sufficient labour for offloading.
• All risk transfers upon delivery or collection.

Installation

• KPJ installs strictly into prepared openings only.
• Installation excludes builder’s work unless included in writing.
• Final waterproofing and drainage depend on correct site preparation.
• Additional work caused by site conditions will be charged separately.

Post-Installation Protection

• The client assumes responsibility for protecting installed products.
• KPJ accepts no responsibility for damage caused by plastering, painting, grinding, welding, dust, or construction activities after installation.

Protective Tape & Film

• Protective tape is temporary only.
• Protective coverings must be removed within a reasonable period after installation.
• KPJ accepts no responsibility for residue, staining, or damage caused by prolonged retention of coverings.

Glazing

• Where glass is included, glazing will follow standard aluminium system requirements.
• KPJ accepts no responsibility for issues caused by building movement, incorrect installation, or third-party work.

Building Movement & Settlement

• KPJ accepts no responsibility for operational issues caused by building movement, slab movement, roof deflection, settlement, or thermal expansion.
• Adjustment or service work resulting from movement will be chargeable.

Snags

• Snag items do not constitute incomplete work.
• Snag items will be attended to within a reasonable period after final payment.

Practical Completion

• Practical completion occurs once products are operational notwithstanding minor snags.
• Cleaning or adjustments after completion of other trades are not considered defects.
• Additional return visits may be chargeable.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• The client must keep tracks, drainage holes, rollers, and hardware clean.
• Failure to maintain products may void warranty claims.

Goods Acceptance

• Goods must be inspected upon delivery or collection.
• Any shortages or damages must be reported within 48 hours.
• Failure to report issues constitutes acceptance of the goods.

Cancellation

• Cancellation must be submitted in writing via email.
• Orders will be invoiced according to production status.
• No refunds apply to materials already manufactured or processed.
• A handling fee of 15% may apply.

Price Validity

• Aluminium, hardware, and glass prices are subject to supplier increases and exchange rate fluctuations.

Warranty & Liability

• Warranty is limited to defective materials and workmanship.
• Repairs or replacement are at KPJ’s sole discretion.
• KPJ is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Warranty is subject to full payment, correct installation, and proper maintenance.

Third Party Warranties

• Ironmongery and hardware: 1 year.
• Powder coating: Project specific.
• Glass: 10 years.
• KPJ does not assume liability for third-party warranties.

Energy Performance

• Products are supplied according to standard specifications unless otherwise agreed.
• KPJ does not guarantee SANS performance compliance unless confirmed in writing.

Design & Information

• Products are manufactured according to approved quotations.
• The client is responsible for frame positioning, FFLs, and waterproofing details.
• Critical performance requirements must be reviewed by a competent professional.

Lead Times

• Estimated lead times are 15–20 working days from deposit and signed approval.
• All instructions and changes must be confirmed in writing before manufacture.

Retention of Ownership

• All goods remain the property of K Parker Joinery until paid in full.
• KPJ reserves the right to recover unpaid goods.

General

• This quotation supersedes all prior communication.
• All approvals and variations must be confirmed via email.
• E&OE applies.
• By payment of the deposit, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
